Our Fireplace, Stove, Insert, & Chimney Services Include:

Cleaning & Inspection:
Over time, soot and creosote can accumulate inside your fireplace, stove, insert, and chimney, which poses a fire hazard. Our thorough cleaning and inspection services ensure your units operate safely and efficiently, reducing the risk of chimney fires.

Chimney Sweeping:
Regular sweeping is essential to maintaining your fireplace, stove, insert, and chimney’s functionality. We’ll remove built-up debris, soot, and blockages, ensuring proper airflow and peak heating performance.

Chimney Cap Installation:
Prevent rain, animals, and debris from entering your chimney with a professionally installed chimney cap. This also helps improve the efficiency of your fireplace, stove, or insert.


Important Notes:

  • We clean chimneys but do not offer chimney repairs. Our services are focused on fireplace, stove, and insert repairs only.

  • We do not clean or service oil-burning units or furnaces. Our services are exclusively for fireplaces, stoves, inserts, and chimneys.

  • Return trips for issues reported over two weeks after service will incur a charge of  $119.50 + tax = $127.09.

  • Return trips for installation of parts will incur a charge of $119.50 + tax = $127.09. Additional charges may apply depending on the parts required and the service needed.

  • We will inform you of any additional charges prior to scheduling a return trip, ensuring full transparency and clarity.

  • We will not perform repairs or replace parts on units that were not purchased from Family Hearth & Patio. We will clean them only and they must be in good working condition at the time of service. 
  • Bookings made under an incorrect fuel type/quantity (e.g., gas instead of pellet, multiple units) will incur an additional charge to cover the difference. Please verify the correct fuel type at the time of booking.
  • Additional charges will apply for multiple units. Prices vary depending on fuel type. 

 

Pricing:

  • Gas Units: $239 + tax = $254.18

  • Wood Units: $239 + tax = $254.18

  • Electric Units: $239 + tax = $254.18

  • Pellet Units: $299 + tax = $317.99

  • Masonry Fireplace: $179 + tax = $190.37

  • Return Trips: $119.50 + tax = $127.09

Note: If your home is located more than 25 miles (up to 50 miles) from New London, Connecticut, there will be an additional $50 charge to cover travel expenses. We do not service homes over 50 miles from New London Connecticut.


Price Includes:

  • Comprehensive cleaning of your hearth unit and chimney.

  • Testing and diagnostics of the units to ensure proper functionality and safety.

  • Full chimney cleaning to remove soot, creosote, and other debris for optimal performance.


Best Time to Clean and Service Your Fireplace, Stove, Insert, and Chimney:

For the best service and cleaning appointment availability, we recommend scheduling your cleaning and service between March and September. It will be more difficult to get a cleaning/service appointment during the fall and winter seasons due to higher demand, as many people are preparing their hearth units and booking installations for the colder months. Booking during the off-season ensures better availability and potentially shorter wait times.

We proudly serve homeowners within 25 miles of New London, Connecticut. For homes between 25 and 50 miles, there is an additional charge to cover travel expenses. We currently do not service homes located over 50 miles from New London Connecticut at this time.
